Spring 2012 Scholars

Adebayo Olusola ADETUNMBI teaches at the Federal University of Technology in Akure.  He received his PhD in Computer Science from Federal University in 2008 and specializes in fraud and intrusion detections on computer networks.  Other on-going research includes translations among three major Nigerian languages and English, a computational model of Yoruba language morphology and biometric technology in e-commerce and ATM machines.

Anuoluwapo Olanrewaju AJAYI teaches at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife.  He received his PhD in computer science from OAU in 2008. He developed an approach to use a graphical environment to teach computer programming to stem the high failure rate in introductory programming courses.  He developed an interpreter to enable programming in the local Nigerian language.

Abimbola Muhideen JUBRIL teaches at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife.  He received his PhD in electronic and electrical engineering from OAU in 2007.  He developed a quadratic distance approach to robust multi-objective control design.
He has visited the Center for Educational Computing Initiatives at MIT as part of a research collaboration with the MIT iLab program to develop online control system experiments.

Olufade Falade Williams ONIFADE teaches at University of Ibadon in Oyo.  He received his PhD in Science Information and Communication from the Universite Nancy in France.  He specializes in formalization of information quality and information ambiguity, cognitive processes and decision science.  He presented a paper on formalizing information quality at MIT in 2008.
